"Sen. Tim Kaine, who has been open about his journey with long COVID, said this is an issue he would want to speak with Kennedy about. 'I suspect because he’s coming before the HELP committee that he and I will probably meet before the committee hearing, and I’m definitely going to talk to him about long COVID,' he said.
Meighan Stone, executive director of the Long COVID Campaign, said she is hopeful about working with the incoming administration. She said the Biden administration, including HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra, have not done enough to address the challenges long COVID patients are facing."

RECOVER has received about $1.6 billion total in funding, a fraction of what scientists say is needed to understand this complex disease. Yet the Biden administration has failed to request substantial additional research funding in its budget proposals, Stone said."
